Customer Hamberley Neurocare provides specialist neurorehabilitation and complex neurocare for individuals of all ages with diverse and complex needs. With locations in Basingstoke, Southampton, and Camberley, they are dedicated to offering expert care and support. Hamberley Care Homes, their sister company, focuses on providing high-quality, award-winning care for the elderly across the UK. The Challenge Hamberley Neurocare wanted to create hampers for their stakeholders as a token of appreciation and thanks during the Christmas season. These hampers also aimed to raise brand awareness. Hamberley Care Homes contacted us to print company brochures, notepads and other promo items. The hampers were set to feature a variety of goodies, including thermal cups, a tub of Hero chocolates, biscuits, and pens. We needed to co-ordinate the ordering process with various suppliers to ensure all items were delivered together and on time. The Solution After receiving the initial brief, we sourced the contents for the hampers and printed the company brochures and notepads. To ensure everything fit perfectly, we selected a wooden crate before finalising the order. Once assembled, the hampers were wrapped in clear cellophane and adorned with a decorative bow. We then arranged for the hampers to be delivered to three different Neuro care sites, where they were delivered to the desired recipient. The hampers were just what we needed — perfectly assembled and beautifully presented. It was so convenient and straightforward to leave the process in the safe hands of the Platinum team. We trusted them to get it right, and they delivered exactly what we wanted.

The Customer The award-winning Nostell Estate business park is nestled in leafy parklands beside the National Trust – Nostell Priory, located on the outskirts of Wakefield. The historic Estate Yard and contemporary Rear Walled Garden house 50 offices, along with modern social and meeting spaces in spectacular natural surroundings. The Challenge The Nostell Estate decided to send a seasonal gift to its tenants as a gesture of appreciation for their continued support. They also wanted to involve Little Bakes, who have recently taken over the catering in the Meridian Café located in the heart of the Estate, which has gained popularity for its delicious baked treats. Little Bakes were commissioned to create an enticing selection of cakes, and the challenge to us was to design a gift box that would both protect these festive treats and present them as a thoughtful, seasonal gift. The Solution After exploring several design options, we designed a sturdy box from boxboard, precisely sized to hold six cupcakes. To keep costs down, the box was supplied flat and made from a single 46cm x 55cm piece of board. Each box was branded “Little Bakes at the Nostell Estate” logo and lined with Nostell Estate’s branded biodegradable greaseproof paper, finished with a glittering gold ribbon for an elegant touch.
What is your role at Platinum and what does your day-to-day look like? I work in the sales team, my day-to-day involves a lot of listening and problemsolving to get my customers what they need, when they need it. Whether that’s over email, phone or face-to-face. With such a wide range of products, it is a varied job. How long have you been working in this industry, and what drew you to it? Hmm, 27 years. I honestly thought I’d be in Print 3 months (if I got through the probationary period) After messing around as a chef working weekend split shifts I needed a change. I saw an advert for a print finisher, unsure what that was but blinded by the option for day shift, more money I was all over it. Armed with a Diploma in Art and Design I thought why not give it a try! What do you enjoy most about your job? I do like coffee meetings and lunches! Getting to know people and trying not to talk about work. I do like seeing the monthly figures too! What skills or qualities do you think are essential for success in your role? I have no idea, I’m totally winging it! I don’t like hearing NO and always try to find a solution while treating people how I would want to be treated. What’s your favourite way to spend your free time? Running or Cycling if I’m injured. It is a lifelong thing, there is nothing I would rather do or talk about. Ideally in the mountain but even road works. I love it, luckily my wife’s the same and is just as keen. It seems even our kids are finding their way in these amazing sports too (just not with us). What’s a fun fact about you that most people don’t know? I had a long bike ride with Andrew Ridgley from Wham once. Do you have a favourite travel destination or a dream place you’d like to visit? Not really, I’d love to explore our island more. Italy is pretty cool and we’ve been to a few places already. Fingers crossed for NY next year to do the Marathon. Adidas once had a campaign about travelling the world 26.2 miles (marathon distance) at a time. I like the idea of that. If you weren’t in this profession, what would you be doing? NO clue, that’s why I am here! If you were stranded on a desert island, what three things would you bring? Just the Family! I don’t need anything else, presuming the sands soft enough to run on barefoot! Spotlight Meet Ben, Our expert Sales Rep. We’re excited to share insights from one of our team members, giving you a glimpse into their role, passions, and personality. From their professional expertise to what makes them tick outside of work.
