Dinner Venues Merchant Adventurers’ Hall The Merchant Adventurers’ Hall is a timber framed medieval Guild Hall built in the centre of York on the banks of the River Foss 661 years ago to provide a base for charity, worship and business. The Undercroft, used as an almshouse to help the sick and the poor until as late as 1900, will be the venue of our evening’s reception and short historical talk. The Great Hall, directly above the Undercroft, is where the Medieval merchants first gathered to conduct their business and to socialise and so it is obviously the natural place where our dinner should and will be served. www.merchantshallyork.org Sun Pavilion With its Art Deco glass dome and stunning views over Harrogate’s Grade II listed Valley Gardens this fairy-tale building, which was built in the 1930’s and restored to its original splendour in 1998, offers a tranquil yet vibrant venue for our Ladies Evening. www.sunpavilion.co.uk
