It’s got to be the Loiners hasn’t
it – the people themselves. I think the description
‘Loiners’ had been lost a bit and a bit of the pride had
gone, but it’s defnitely back now – and it’s here to stay.
I like to
do my art, spend time with my kids and have a bit of
chill time. You have to when you’re doing this every
week for 20 years.
Guinness
have recognised it as the longest running dance night
which is pretty mental. But it’s not been like a chore.
Now we’re concentrating on the music academy,
which is giving something back to Leeds. It’s going to
be a digital DJ school teaching people to use diferent
software to make music in our studio.
We had a birthday party that
was full-on acid house featuring Todd Terry. It was
everything that BackToBasics wasn’t about: glow sticks
and smiley faces, so it was really fun.
