Built on a 5.1 acre site in the centre of Leeds,
the Arena will boost the city region’s economy by
£25.5 million a year. Te entertainment venue will
be a unique super-theatre with a fan-shape design,
which will guarantee every one of the 12,300 seats
in the house a perfect sightline of centre stage.
Construction of the Arena, which is estimated to
bring an additional one million visitors to the city,
is well underway.
Te landmark Trinity Leeds scheme is rising
high above the cityscape and is set to open in spring
2013. With a spectacular glazed roof, this new
shopping and leisure destination will transform
shopping in Leeds and the North through a series
of new covered streets and arcades designed to
integrate with the streetscape of the city centre.
Tere will be over 120 retail shops, restaurants
and cafes, including national and international
brands, many of whom will be new to Leeds, such
as Mango, Hollister and Cult alongside fagship
stores for Topshop, River Island, Primark, Next
and M&S to name a few. Trinity Leeds will also
include a stylish cinema and restaurant quarter with
Everyman Cinema, the leading boutique cinema,
debuting for the frst time in the North.
Trinity Leeds will take shopping in Leeds
into the evening, growing the night time economy
in the city with a cluster of restaurants, some with
external dining areas on terraces overlooking
Briggate, ofering spectacular views across the
city. Restaurants signed up include Yo Sushi,
Carluccio’s, Handmade Burger, D&D London
(Conran & Partners) and Girafe.
Once open Trinity Leeds is set to move
Leeds from seventh to fourth in the list of top retail
shopping destinations in the UK.
